The Park Lane Hotel sits on Central Park South between 5th and 6th Aves, built by everybody’s favorite old-time New York couple., Harry and Leona Helmsley.
Leona’s trust sold the building in 2013 for $660 million dollars, so that would have been more solid gold dog bones for her dog had it not joined Mrs. Helmsley in heaven (?!) in 2011.
The plan is to convert the hotel to condos at some point. Hopefully they will not alter the mid-century exterior.
