It might be a run-of-the-mill New York City apartment building, but The Brevoort has one of the coolest mid-century signs in town.
Apparently Buddy Holly moved into the building at the corner of 5th Ave and 8th St. a few months before his fatal plane crash in 1959, and recorded an album there.
The sign really doesn’t go with the building, but who cares?
